University information sessions at DHZH

During the peak season for university application and offers, our University and Career Counselling Department will facilitate a wide range of information sessions to DHZH students and parents, sharing the latest admissions requirement of different universities and updated policies or procedures for student Visas, and offering professional guidance on best-fit subject options and destinations.

It has been challenging to invite the admissions officers from overseas universities to face-to-face workshops on campus, due to the global pandemic. However, the online format offers more flexibility for engagement.

Meeting 60+ universities at the Dulwich Virtual University Fair

At the end of March, over 60 universities came together with Dulwich students and parents for our group’s largest-ever virtual university fair. University admissions officers and representatives called in from more than 10 countries, presenting a diverse range of geographic and academic options, latest admissions requirements to the Dulwich community, as well as answering real-time questions.

Year 12 Parent information session

When it comes to choosing the “Dream School”, it is often the nature of most parents and students to follow the world’s university rankings or a number of publication citations without an accurate understanding on the quality of undergraduate teaching and learning in these respective schools.

On April 14th, a university counselling information session for our Year 12 parents was held online by Ms Zhou, our Head of University and Career Counselling, and Mr Koh, Head of Year 12. During the session, parents were able to learn broader aspects in choosing the best-fit choice by looking at campus life, faculty-to-student ratio, population of the host city, profile of the academic department, as well as job placement success rate. Different application requirements of applying to universities in different regions and countries were also introduced.
