Super Yachts and Makeup
On Wednesday 25th April, Business teacher, Ms Jiang took nearly 60 of our Yr10 Business students’ on an educational trip to local companies in Zhuhai. Ms Jiang, with support teachers, attended Sunbird Yacht Ltd. and Sheencol’or Biotech Ltd. in Jinwan district, Zhuhai.
This activity was aimed at developing student knowledge of operations management and marketing. They were able to focus on applying their business knowledge to real-world situations.
Sunbird Yacht Ltd company manager said about our students: “I’m impressed by the students’ vision of market trends. It seems they pay more attention to the future than other teenagers I have met before. Dulwich students try to make themselves meet the demand of the labour market.”
At each factory they concentrated on the different forms of promotion, features of batch production and flow production, how technology has changed production methods and how quality production is achieved.
After the trip Ms Jiang said, “The Yr10 Business students’ behaviour was great. They asked some thoughtful and perceptive questions. It shows that they have linked what they learnt in class to the real-world.”
