A-Level stands for Advanced Level, and is a two-year course. All students will study IGCSE English in Year 12, either as a First or Second Language depending on their ability, as well as their chosen A-level subjects. Students can elect to study four subjects from a choice of Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English Literature, Geography, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Music, Physics. A-Levels are recognised and highly valued by universities worldwide. Some US universities give students who achieve a high score in A-Level examinations up to one year of credit.
