From the inaugural Tech Expo to Student Leadership – upcoming events at Dulwich

With term only just starting at the Dulwich College International Schools on 8 January, the upcoming month will provide our students with numerous network-wide events, giving them access to world-class practitioners and the opportunity to build lasting connections with students across our family of schools.

Throughout the academic year, visual and performing artists from across the globe visit Dulwich College International schools to run workshops with students and stage performances for the community as part of the Diversity series.

Diversity: David Greenberg
An American author famous for his award-winning children’s poetry books. He frequently lectures around the world on writing instruction and delivers entertaining poetry assemblies to highlight the joys of writing for young students.
David begins his tour 15 January at Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong, and will end on 26 January at Dulwich College Seoul.

Diversity: Kai and Felix
As composers and arrangers, jazz is one of many idioms that Felix and Kailin have in common. Felix has a degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee while Kailin lists veteran composer Dr John Sharpley, jazz pianist Art Lande as two of his most influential mentors.
Kai & Felix began their tour on 9 January at Dulwich College in Singapore, and will end on 23 January at Dulwich College Suzhou.
 

Technology Expo at Dulwich College Beijing (25 – 26 January)

Reinforcing our commitment to 21st century STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) education, the inaugural Dulwich Technology Expo is open to Junior School students across the network. It will be a dynamic event with a range of specialist speakers, group activities and hands-on learning practice, hosted by Dulwich College Beijing.
 

Student Leadership Conference (25 – 27 January)

The second annual Dulwich College International Student Leadership Conference will take place in Shanghai and bring our student leaders together from across the network for a three-day intensive series of leadership training workshops, challenging them to tackle the question: “How do I build a community where everyone thrives?”
 

ISCMS (31 January – 3 February)

The International Schools Choral Music Society (ISCMS) is one of the largest music festivals in Asia, and Dulwich College International has been a key supporter and host over the past ten years. Over 20 schools across Asia belong to ISCMS, and the annual festival attracts world-class professional musicians, conductors and composers. The Gala Concert on Saturday 3 February will take place in the Suzhou Culture & Arts Centre.
